Roadmap

This roadmap outlines our current focus and upcoming projects, releasing a new project every few months.

Each project is direct and tangible action, resource, product, service or guide that acts to directly ask less of the planet and make trail and ultra running more accessible

Rather than lip service and talking points, you will only find actual missions and projects that we can put in to action right now which means we ask less of the natural world and planet for those that follow us in to this beautiful sport and hobby, trail running.

Projects

Here we have our projects listed as we release them, they are split in two two categories, the first covers who the project is for; runners, events, brands as these are the 3 main entities in trail and ultra running.

Secondly they're categorised by the type of project they are and what its focus is, gear, environment, climate, etc.

Project #1: DirtBags

Status: Live

Reducing single-use plastic waste that ends up in landfill when we're fuelling for long distance adventures by using a reusable alternative, DirtBags.

Learn more about DirtBags here and purchase DirtBags here to replace single-use plastic packets with reusable options for your energy gels, energy powders, energy chews and snacks.

As part of this we have the sustainable fuelling guide where we look at bulk and refill options of gels, chews and powders that nutritional brands sell as well as buying cheaper fuel options in bulk or making your own at home.

Project #2: UTMB Running Stones System

Status: Coming Soon

Created climate impact by UTMB as they forced everyone to travel to by UTMB races to collect stones. Previous to this, you had the option to travel locally, and collect points from ultra-marathon races near to where you live. Then only needing to travel a long distance once to take part in the UTMB Finals around Mont Blanc, now you have to travel vast distances to collect stones and then still to Chamonix.

This is forced climate impact and UTMB made this decision, which negatively affects the climate.

Project #3: Trail Braiding

Status: Coming Soon

Habitat loss on the trail caused by us creating new trails to bypass muddy sections of trail.

Project #4: Bamboo Trail and Mountain Running Poles

Status: Coming Soon

Choose reusable bamboo trail and mountain running poles.
